2. Teaching cases
All the extended abstracts submitted to AgInsight 2022 will be subjected to double blind peer review process and, will be published under the condition that all the suggestions proposed by reviewers are properly addressed and, all the criteria recommended by the AgInsight 2022 editorial board are fulfilled.
All accepted extended abstracts will be published online. Acceptance of abstracts implies the work will be presented orally at the conference and at least one author will register and attend the conference.
The extended abstract template explains and demonstrates the authors how to prepare the extended abstract for AgInsight 2022. Please read the instructions and follow the outline below. All extended abstracts should be written in English.
Extended abstracts can contain one figure and one table. Do not indent the text paragraphs. The extended abstract should be preferably in MS Word format (Page size: A4/ 2.5 cm margin in all sides) is typed 1.5-spaced, with lines and pages numbered consecutively, using Times New Roman font at 12 points.
Software: Extended abstracts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format ONLY.
Extended abstract headline: (Times New Roman, 14 Bold, Centered)
Author information and author declaration: No author information should be mentioned in the extended abstract. The names and affiliations of all authors and the contact information of the corresponding author must be fed into the system during the online submission process. Signed Author declaration form should be emailed to: agit@agri.sab.ac.lk
Authors of extended abstracts accepted for conference presentation may choose to submit a full-length paper; however, this is not mandatory for presenting at the conference. If you wish to publish a full paper at the Journal of Agricultural Sciences-Sri Lanka (ISSN 1391-9318, e-ISSN 2386-1369) you have to submit a cover letter expressing your willingness. The Printing and Publication Committee of AgInsight 2022 will take necessary arrangements to direct those to the journal editors. The final decision of the publication process will be solely depending on the Editorial board of the Journal and will be solely based on the journal publishing policy.
Full papers should be submitted according to the authors’ guidelines of the Journal of Agricultural Sciences-Sri Lanka published by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

Department of Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka is committed to developing and showcasing best practices in case study writing, teaching, and learning to facilitate problem-solving and transfer knowledge for the next generation of agri-food management talent.
You are invited to submit teaching case study proposals for participation in the AgInsight 2022 Virtual World Conference: 4th International Conference of Agricultural Sciences on January 26-27, 2022.
The Case Conference track of AgInsight’s academic conference is directed at a broad audience of professionals who are interested in developing effective food and agribusiness related cases and using them as learning tools, as well as for those interested in the specific case topics discussed. The Teaching Case Workshop will include “featured cases” that are structured to provide constructive feedback to the case writers on their cases and discussion leadership skills. By modelling case discussion process, we hope to encourage others to write cases or uses cases (and the case discussion method) in their classes.
Teaching Cases may cover any topic of managerial relevance, but preferably related to one of the AgInsight’s 2022 themes which explore innovations that are currently reshaping the food and agribusiness sector.
Each year AgInsight is planning to “showcases” the best teaching cases that demonstrate innovative business strategies and illustrate how to use the case method process effectively.
